On our website you can find answers to frequently asked questions about the festival. Here are the answers to some of them, as well as basic information about the upcoming event. Where ?

The festival takes place in Cape May, NJ. Cape May Convention Hall (capacity 750) is Festival Central and Box Office and Will Call are located here. Restaurants and bars become Club venues during the Fest, many within walking distance of Cape May Convention Hall along the beachfront in Cape May. Schmidtchen Theater, Festival Main Stage where Headline Artists perform, has a capacity of 1,177 and is located ten minutes from downtown Cape May. Exit Zero Jazz runs shuttles from Cape May Convention Hall to Schmidtchen Theater on concert evenings. The period of the festival falls on the final exams. What does it cost?

Cost varies.

VIP and 3 DAY PASSES include reserve seat tickets to Headline performances in Schmidtchen Theater + guaranteed entry into all Convention Hall performances and first-come, first-serve entry into all clubs. Also, if you wish, you can visit a creative club with writers and artists, including paperwriter.com.

SINGLE DAY PASSES include General Admission entry to all Cape May Convention Hall performances + first-come, first-serve entry into all CLUB VENUES, for the Day purchased.

What is a Club Pass and how does it work?

The Official Weekend Club Pass of Exit Zero Jazz is a value pass that allows multiple access to more than 40 sets of music all three days of the festival at all Festival Club Venues on a first come-first served basis. Venues may fill to capacity prior to shows. To ensure your spot, arrive early.

What about kids, are they welcome?

Children are welcome in Schmidtchen Theater and Cape May Convention Hall. Children are welcome in Club Venues accompanied by parent until 9:00 pm. Festival shows are probably not appropriate for very young children if they are not able to sit through a concert.

Students with an interest in music are welcome and urged to contact the Festival about our MUSIC CONNECTS program. Also, you can order custom writing. Tickets are required for MUSIC CONNECTS seating and are free thanks to MUSIC CONNECTS SPONSORS, Patricia Jackson Jewellers, Chris Cleman's Sotheby's International Realty, Congress Hall, Exit Zero Publishing, Gaiss Markets, Paramount Air and Hawk Haven Vineyard.

MUSIC CONNECTS provides free tickets to Headliner performances for age appropriate students, a free series of workshops and artist and school music programs through the Lower Cape May Regional School Music Program and Cape May County schools during the festival and throughout the school year.

Can I take pictures at concerts?

The use of cameras (still, video, cell phones) and recording devices is strictly prohibited in Schmidtchen Theater and Cape May Convention Hall. Photography is permitted only by credentialed photographers in designated areas in Cape May Convention Hall and Schmidtchen Theater. Photography is allowed in CLUB VENUES, but please, NO FLASH out of respect for the artists and others in the audience.

What will the weather be during the festival?

Shine or rain the festival is a great experience. All venues are indoors so weather does not impact the concert schedule.

I would like to submit my band to play in your festival. What do I need to do?

n order to be considered, you must email an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) to [email protected] between December 1 through December 15 of each year. Due to the extremely high volume of submissions, suggestions and requests, we are unable to acknowledge submissions via phone or email. If you submit an EPK, please do not contact the festival asking about the status of the submission. We will make contact if you or your artist/group is chosen. Thanks for your interest.

When can I pick up my Weekend Passes, Single Day Passes, Club Passes?

Exchange your Pass ticket receipt for the designated Official Exit Zero Jazz Festival Pass at the Festival Will Call Ticket Booth, located at 714 Beach Avenue, Cape May, beginning one day prior to each Festival opening day. Alternate pick-up sites and dates announced to Festival email list, and Festival web and Facebook sites.
